Vickie took our family out on a kayak ecology tour. We had fun and learned a lot about the New River. Great day trip for any age! RiverGirl had efficient and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend!
Nice couple hours on the water. The kids enjoyed it too. I recommend bringing your own tubes. Their rental charges are more than the cost of a new one and they don’t have the net across the bottom. Their cooler tubes can hold a giant cooler though.

Thanks Kissi 🥰 Glad you guys enjoyed the river. Hope you had a chance to use the rope swing! Our tubes are made of a heavier plastic than the ones you can purchase in stores...so they last for several years. They also have backrests and a cup holder. We used to have netting on the bottom when we first started...but when you use tubes every single day...the netting tears, is difficult to repair and doesn’t reflect well for a business. We do have smaller floored tubes for kids 10 years and younger or for disabled customers..... read more

The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved meeting all of the animals on site and the 3 hour kayak tour was gorgeous!!!

Thank you so much RiverGirl for the safe and healthy kayak ride. The Greenway is so congested - people walk in groups across the path and won’t move to single file to accommodate someone passing at a safe distance. The river however was virtually empty and I finally could breathe. I drove my own car as you advised to social distance safely and the kayaks were clean and sanitized. Thank you for your care and allowing me to get the mental clarity I needed after being at home for so long with 3 teenagers! In gratitude 🙏.
