RecommendedDuring this pandemic, I was able to kayak with RiverGirl. I thought long and hard about going as I know that staying home is imperative. But - so is exercise and self care. Being on the river allowed me to practice social distancing, still talk to friends and tap into nature and my inner strength. It truly allowed me to gather my thoughts and make plans on how to get through this. Kelly and Renata are very diligent about maintaining distance, and practicing safe measures. What a blessing to have them in our community!
We are Ashe residents & LOVE RG!! Kelly & Renata have safe social distancing practices in place & we were able to get out of the house to spend a sunny afternoon on the New River in kayaks. Thank you 💛
These ladies have saved my sanity in a time of crisis in our country!!! They followed ALL social distancing guidelines not allowing anyone within 6ft of each other at all times, one person allowed shuttling to pick up their car at a time in an open air transport and social distancing guidelines followed @ all times. No cross contamination either! No need to touch our stuff and no need to touch theirs! They moved their front desk outside as well. Cash only, placed in a basket! Kelly was spectacular! She took our group of 6 last minute on a kayaking trip. She timed it perfect for us as a cold front was approaching. She even let us borrow rain coats and other gear as needed. Loved the farm animals and doggies :) thanks Kelly! Can’t wait to come back!
Fun, instructional land class followed by time on the river. Great way to get started in fly fishing. Hope to return soon. Kelly was excellent!
My husband and I had a GREAT fly fishing lesson with Kelly today. She covered everything, and I caught a rainbow trout on one of my first casts! She really knows her stuff.
Great Bike rental place in Beautiful and quaint Todd NC. Wonderful paved mostly flat trail along the river. The bikes were very nice and reasonable rates. We highly recommend!!
My wife and I had a wonderful time. G was our guide and he provided the perfect balance of technique, correction, and re-direction. Shared enough theory and gave us “pro” pointers. Suggested further resources to continue learning. Shared useful information to help insure we didn’t make the same mistakes he made when he got started. Lovely place to learn, wish the weather cooperated more but we made the most of it. Can’t wait to take back the rest of the family for many other activities they have! Highly recommended!
