Talk about a traumatic experience by a group of highly unprofessional humans. My husband called me mortified when they muzzled our dog for snapping. A behavior she’s never shown before, and an action he didn’t see her do himself. When I called to ask what had happened, I quickly learned how unprofessional of facility this place is. I was met with immediate hostility, and talked to like I was a child. Absolutely no respect whatsoever, so how can I possibly think you treated my dog with any?? If you’re looking for an empatheti... read more

Our 8 week old lab experienced a veterinary emergency- it was 11:15pm. We looked and saw Rockwall Urgent Vet open until midnight. We live 10 min away so in route we called. When the receptionist answered I immediately explained the seriousness of the situation and she could hear the puppy choking. She responded with “umm we close in 30 min so I don’t think we can help you.” I asked to speak with the Vet or office manager. I explained that we were 1 min away and that our dog was having a serious issue - not only choking... read more

Business response:

We deeply regret the unpleasant experience you had at our clinic. Your feedback is highly appreciated, and we take our clients' reviews seriously. It is saddening to hear that our team's actions caused more harm than good in handling your situation. We referred you to BluePearl since they usually take calls when we're closed, and Google indicated they were open. We apologize for not being able to assist you due to the high number of cases we were actively treating at the time. We recognize that we could have communicated thi... read more

My dog got a bug or something in his ear and it was bleeding a little and he was shaking his head constantly and was clearly miserable. I called and I was told they don’t handle that or possible ear infections, so they wouldn’t see us, but their website says they can treat pretty much anything from upset stomachs to surgery?? I don’t get it. Treated it myself until I could get to a different vet.

Business response:

Hi Kim, thank you for your feedback. While we do treat most illnesses whether major or minor, at times we are unable to accommodate non-emergent cases such as an ear infection due to our case load and the severity of those cases. If we are slammed with critical patients, adding you to an already full waitlist will result in an extremely long wait time for you and your pet as your pet is thankfully stable enough to wait until you can see your regular veterinarian. We are sorry if this was not clearly communicated to you.

they claim to be an urgent vet but they have no sense of urgency. after my wife drove over an hour in a severe storm to get our puppy some help because she started throwing up and pooping on herself. she was turned away because they didn't have a Dr working at the time. I called after she informed me they turned her away. I was told that the Dr on duty was in surgery and noone else in the building could help our puppy who was clearly needing emergency medical treatment. they told us to go to another emergency vet office that... read more

There is literally a shortage of veterinarians right now. It is literally ILLEGAL to treat a patient without a valid VCPR. LOOK IT UP. The VCPR is established by a physical exam performed by a licensed veterinarian. Since I was performing a surgery on another pet, I couldn’t examine your dog. I will not risk my license and livelihood. Especially for the kind of people that would immediately go to social media because they can’t get their way. Why do you think the next available ER is in mesquite, then Dallas? There are no st... read more

Jamie is extrodinarily rude and condescending with each and every communication. From what I could tell, the vet, himself, was friendly and courteous but Jamie runs the clients away by treating people ugly. We had to ask 11 times, over the course of an hour and 16 min, for an itemized statement....each time we got an incredibly rude response. She was completely callous in that we were losing a pet WHILE she was acting this way. NEVER AGAIN!! I doubt the vet even knows how horrid Jamie is treating people with these “COVID ... read more

Most of your correspondences had actually been with the Practice Manager and the Owner of the clinic. You had been sent the documents numerous times as you confirmed you received them via text messages. We also attempted to give copies to a gentlemen you had outside since you left. I asked you twice to not leave your pet unattended by the front door while processing her check-in and getting a technician prep to handle a zoonotic disease. You wanted medications illegally for a deceased pet and we did not comply, that was when... read more

I really appreciate you denying care to my dog who was in distress and struggling to breathe....at 10:30 at night when there are no vets open...around. I was already in route. Had to detour and head to Mesquite instead. No words or excuse for this.
