Stopped by for an early dinner with a celiac friend and 8 year old daughter. Both were easily accommodated and food and service were great!
It's not a high end restraunt but the steaks are cooked to your liking. I was suprised at the method of cooking though, meat was grey on the outside with a few car lines. I prefer my steak crispy on the outside and rare in the middle. Service was good but nothing to write home about. This restaurant is more akin to a business casual dining experiece, and the prices reflect that. The staff started the night off on a very positive note, they all seemed very happy to be there and very excited to help us celebrate. The food was beyond expectation, and incredibly tasty. Our waitress was great, though she did seem to go MIA for a short while, but in her section did seem to get very busy. Overall we enjoyed our entire evening and will be going back again I'm sure.
The sticky toffee pudding in our opinion was better than at Gordon Ramsey's steak house in Las Vegas. Will definitely be back. Langdon and Arty were excellent servers.
Got seated at kiddie table, hap hazardly positioned by itself, beside a patio door. Not really the ambience we were expecting. Service was not very timely, long periods of no checks and waiters kept changing. Food was excellent but service and ambience poor due to large groups dominating and kiddie table as described above.
Came here for the big taste. Food was tasty and service was great. However, there was a rock or something hard in my dessert that chipped my tooth. A piece is missing and it's annoying. Hopefully they find out what happened so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
Awesome evening - great food, went for the Big Taste of Calgary promotion. Restaurant may have been short staffed as our server seemed a bit "harried" and apologized for not being as attentive as she should have been. Highly recommend to all considering dining here
we tried the Big Taste Menu which was just right for us. A good way to try this restaurant. While our first course was quite delayed, the rest of the evening went well and our server Beth was very apologetic. Loved the Spanish wine.
On our sons recommendation we choose The Saltlik. We were not disappointed. From the wok fried calamari and Duck fat Fries (delish, mmmmm) to the Steaks and the Flatiron steak and salad. We were to full for dessert. Maybe next time. The service was wonderful as well. The only negative was the ability to hear each other later in the evening. Could just be time for hearing aids. ;-)
