I would like to point out my positive and negative comments about my experience at the SaltLik on Friday 28Sept. I have been to the Saltlik before and have enjoyed it and that is why I went back. When I booked my reservation on opentable I commented that I was celebrating my birthday. I am surprised there was no mention of my birthday at the Saltlik. OK steakhouse with no real vegan options. Went with large group with work and as a vegan had to stick to side order vegetables.
Definitely the best steak in Calgary, which is saying a lot!! Staff was mostly great. Our server and another gentleman were very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and great recommendation from the wine list. A wonderful experience and I will be back many more times!
Service was good - our server was attentive and friendly - but steaks were not hot suggesting they had stood around for longer than necessary. One person’s main course was forgotten but the manager gave us that meal for free. Drinks selection good, but could be widened especially to include local beers. All-in-all good value and a very pleasant atmosphere.
Made my brothers bachelor party even more enjoyable.
My burger was great, but my friends steak was just average. Ironic for a steakhouse. Service was excellent
Our server was very attentive! It was noisy but it was Friday evening!
It is a great spot to eat before going to Arts Commons
Waitress was a mess. Couldn’t talk without clicking her pen. Bumped a glass of water twice and finally spilled some water the third time. Never wiped it up. Steak was very good as expected from an expensive steakhouse. Side was pretty basic. But overall it is a nice atmosphere and my main entre was cooked and seasoned very well.
