Everything was great!!! Service, not as expected! Should have been better!
Saltlik was the best restaurant experience I have had in quite a while. The service was timely, the food was perfectly cooked and the staff were welcoming, informative, and helped to create a very desirable atmosphere. Upon request of a previous cocktail that was not on their menu anymore they informed me they were unable to make it but offered the recipe as well as brought me a similar cocktail they replaced it with. Apps were fine. Servers were nice, but not ontop of the order. I visited with a customer and a colleague. I had a salad, that really was mediocre. Not sure I would recommend the chicken salad. Price versus the average flavor, and a miniature chicken breast left me puzzled. My colleague ordered the steak sandwich and a salad. He received a steak, no bread, and vegetables. The food was OK, but for the price I expected more. We brought our young daughter but we were surprised that there weren't any highchairs.
Myself and my wife loved our entrées however we were unhappy with the service. We were served by different people throughout dinner but nobody came very often, wanted more drinks with dinner but nobody came to take another order. It was also fairly expensive considering...
I come here just about every time I'm in Calgary because I just love it so much. The food is outstanding and the service is very, very good. It has a really fun but still elegant atmosphere.
When making the reservation I went online to check out the menu and the parmesan crusted halibut stood out to me, I knew that's what I wanted to have for supper. It was very disappointing that at 7pm on a Friday night the server told me that they were out of the halibut. I had the prawn linguine, it was okay. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals, the sticky toffee pudding was fantastic.
We were here for our anniversary and had Jordan looking after us. He did a spectacular job. The staff in general seemed to really care about making our evening special.
The lunch was excellent. I have been here many times and it is always good. I had the burger and it was juicy and tasty.
