I had to find a place for a date night with my girlfriend. I had read a few reviews of this place and it seemed pretty mixed BUT i can't understand why. Had dry ribs for an appetizer which were delicious...maybe best I'v e ever had. Girlfriend who is not really a meatitarian also loved them. The streak i had was cooked perfectly, flavored deliciously and best of all was only $25. I was surprised I could get a steak this good for the price i paid in downtown Calgary.
My friend and I were there for dinner prior to a presentation at the Epcor Centre and we had excellent service from Colin. He was attentive, made fabulous recommendations on both food and wine and made sure our timing was monitored to ensure we made it to the performance on time. The restaurant was busy and energetic for a chilly evening. Always a great place and enjoyable experience.
I enjoy going to the Saltlik for business lunches. The service is friendly and efficient and the food has always been very good.
We've been to Saltlika number of times and it has always been great and this most recent time was no different. The food was great and the service was awesome. I highly recommend it. I loved my French Onion soup and peppercorn striploin, and my wife's CAB serloin was perfect!
Our group had calamari, steak, salmon, tuna and salad. All great.
Waitress was very nice, attentive without interfering. In fact all the staff seemed cheerful and helpful. Steaks were done to perfection. We took our own wine and found the corkage charge very reasonable.
Our meal took a little longer than expected but without even asking the manager came to our table and appoligizes and gave us our lunch for free. The food was excellent. That is excellent customer service!
Amazingly cooked steak - def go for the Chicago style. Will most definitely come here again!
Staff are friendly. Welcoming. The wait wasn't more than a few Minutes. The food was awesome. Wine was chilled slightly To perfection. Very nice. Felt a little underdressed. But That was us in jeans. Love it.
