We weren't in a hurry, so the fact that we waited 45 minutes to place our order was odd, but tolerable. And it got us a round of either drinks or desserts. Two of us picked free drinks and the other two picked free desserts. They brought the wrong desserts to the table, and they included nuts, which one of us is allergic to. Saltlik has great steaks and lovethe skinny fries. Our server was great and knowledgeable.
Friendly staff who are responsive to varying patron's needs (kiddies, groups, theatre patrons, and first dates), Small but varied menu of specialty preparations, with a decent wine and drinks list. We had a sense of a short meal and drink list that rotated often for freshness and variety. We were disappointed with the service in the beginning with a waiter. Waiting for 15 mins on my beer was too much and he didn't even ask how I wanted my steak done. Switched to a different waitress and she was perfect.
Easy to walk to when staying at nearby hotels, especially on cold nights!
Always a great option to hit up Saltlik. 6 of us went in total - variant in our tastes and no one was disappointed! Definitely will be there again.

Had a working lunch here the other day and was very pleasantly surprised after a bad experience a few years back at the Saltlik in Banff. My food was quite good and it came out very quickly. The army of servers that kept appearing at our table were very friendly, but a bit uncoordinated in their efforts. Our drink orders were initially messed up and we were interrupted repeatedly while we were waiting for our meal to ask if we needed anything, but then we didn't see anyone after our food arrived and I would have really enjoy... read more
My wife and I enjoyed our dinner, the drinks and appetizer were delicious. Our mains were good not fantastic but good. I would definetley go back.
