One of the members of our party has several food intolerances and the server went out of her way to ensure she was accommodated.
I had heard this was a great restaurant so I booked for a birthday. The service was very good. We ordered shrimp and wings to start and that was very nice. I had the halibut and it was also quite good however the steaks were a huge disappointment. The New York was a grey slap of beef, absolutely no flavour, no seasonings and overcooked, the filet was cold with not a lot of flavour either. Everything was good but the waitress was nice but she had to many people to look after so the wine was late. Had it after the appetizer. Getting refills was also off. She did indicate she had a big group to attend to also.
In and out in a reasonable time which was great seeing as how it was a lunch hour.
We were here for a nice lunch, the service and food were very good, but the noise level was so high we had to yell across the table at each other to be heard, which is annoying.
We were there with guests from overseas and it was near impossible to carry on a conversation! The music was so loud that everyone there was shouting to hear the person next to them. The waitress had to stand next to each person to hear their order. Food and service was good.
Saltlik has been a long time "go to" spot for my customer lunches....I've never been disappointed. For those looking to book larger corporate events, they have two terrific private rooms that I've used many times in the past. A large room (can handle over 100) upstairs and a smaller room in the basement. A great spot for a large customer event, or a lunch for two.
I'm a vegan but my guests wanted to try a steak restaurant. I thought I would get stuck with a dry baked potato and salad, which usually happens to me at steakhouses, but the staff were fantastic and told me about lots of options, and I had this AMAZING spicy veggie pasta. Since then I've brought another set of guests back with me and had another great experience, and my guests said the steak was delicious.
Wen't during stampede so the restauarant was pretty busy and therefore the service a tad slow in the beginning but everyone was really friendly and did their best to ensure we were taken care of. Tuna tartare was very tasty. Steaks were good - however the hunter chicken dish was definitely the favourite. Good spot to taste Alberta beef!
