There are currently two big professional music stores nationwide, Sam Ash and Guitar Center. What I like about Sam Ash is that there is more of a chill musician's vibe in there. I'll come into the Atlanta area store and I'll see a young guy and gal discussing what they like about jazz chords on a particular keyboard instrument. People play and the atmosphere is musicianly. Also, at Sam Ash, I can get slightly used gear in good shape, which I like.
