We are downsizing and had an instrument my son played in middle school and high school that he no longer needs. We took it to the Sam Ash store in Lombard, Illinois. We were promptly taken to the area set aside for selling used equipment. After asking us a few questions and looking at the old Sax, he consulted some reference guides and made us what we thought was a very fair cash offer. Chicago Joe knows Guitars like nobody I’ve ever met! Got me set right up, and it plays better than it ever has before. Highly recommended.
Joe is awesome. He goes above and beyond in taking care of "his" guitars (mine). I had it in to change the strings and he saw little things that needed repair and at the end of the day set up the guitar! (frets, stock, oils frets, etc.). I can not tell you how awesome he is. I was in on Thursday to purchase a keyboard and felt compelled to send this because of how impressed I was of the overall experience, and above all, how extraordinary the service was - both of which, Brian Smith was directly responsible for.
