I walked into the store this last Friday early in the morning; thinking I was going to grab a few XLR cables and perhaps finally a nice kick drum mic but what I seen downright shocked me. I walked in to what looked like a berating. I recognised one of the men as he's done sound for my band before at a couple places like the Z-Plex and Geneva Palace. I was a bit confused and asked the girl the chair next to me what was going on her reply was simply "interviews this guy is just being an ass to the person he's interviewing." As... read more

The only reason I go to a brick-and-mortar store is when I need something. Now. I waited for about 15 minutes while an employee explained to a guy that he couldn't recommend an amp for him if he didn't know the model of speaker he was using. When they were done, I found out that they were out-of-stock of the item I wanted (a 5' DMX cable). This is a very common item. Do they understand that, if they don't stock common items, I have no effing reason to go to their store? Absurd.

I really liked this store until I was completely low balled on some gear I wanted to sell. Got an email claiming " Highest prices paid!" " Paying top dollar" to then be offensively low balled. At least at Guitar Center they will look up Ebay sold listings, make you a reasonable offer and even negotiate with you if they are low.
