Great group of guys that are not just employees, but fellow musicians, that understand your needs. They make really good deals and sell quality instruments. I purchased an item from them. I opened the box when I got home and it had a part missing. This was a popular item that they ran out of very fast. They told me to keep and use it until they had received another shipment which took about a month or so. I was still able to return it for a new item with no problem.
I have been helped greatly every time I have been to Sam Ash. The folks at Guitar Center seemed uninterested in customer service and unwilling to get me the things I needed. I will only shop at Sam Ash from this point forward.
I brought a peavy transtube here last year after the owner of the amp passed away while it was in my possession. After three months they said it was ready. Nothing has been done to it. I paid $186 for them to fix scratchy sounding knobs, and a distortion channel that was all noise, hum AND feedback. They said they would send it back to MrEs, the place they just sent it to to be worked on. This month marks a year. I paid $186 for an amp that was sent to a place that no longer answers the phone. Great store to get lost in. Also, they host all sorts of cool events...I went in once and their music students were having a green day concert to showcase their newly acquired skills, which was kinda cool. Ted in guitars is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful....the other dudes just wanna sell you stuff. Been in this location several times. Always the same vibe. Staff UNFRIENDLY! Nobody smiles, nobody says hi, nobody asks if you need help! We were in there again today for 20min and no one spoke. I couldnt even get anyone to acknowledge me so I could get a key to the restroom. Yall treat women different from men customers. LAST TIME EVER SETTING FOOT IN THERE!
