Dr. Shimamoto was the ONLY individual at that clinic that was friendly and had a sense of customer service. He assisted us with the utmost care. All the front desk staff are rude and NEVER answer their phones. I tried to have my other child seen and due to their COVID policy they only allow one parent and the patient, however, I requested for an exemption due to my sons disability and they refused. It’s unfortunate that they cannot accommodate certain rules for those with disabilities.
After waiting over 3 months for an appointment, this office called me 3 days before my appointment (and after a confirmation text) and stated that they were adjusting their office hours due to the Covid outbreak. The person stated that since my appointment was at 3:40 PM and their new hours closed at 3PM I would have to now wait until June! So basically go to the end of the line. No attempt to accomodate. Dr. Jain is an absolute nightmare. He invalidated me and deemed me as anxious” when I was having severe allergies/allergic reactions. He’s absolutely worthless. He said my son was “deconditioned ” and did nothing for him either, except prescribe Montelukast to a child without ever once mentioning possible side effects, which he had and was taken off by our new allergist. Here over two hours!!! Just for Shellfish allergy testing! Still here and waiting! Test done, waiting for Doctor.
My son was seeing Dr. Shimamoto for quite a few years. Shimamoto is a great DOCTOR, however, he treats his staff differently than his patients. His old staff was amazing, but again they moved on and his new staff is not very friendly. His office manager does not DEAL with issues that need to be addressed in the office. There is a lot more to this story that I will not go into but I took my son to a different doctor for reason above and beyond what I have mentioned. I DO NOT RECOMEND this office.
