I visited this community because i pass their sign very day on my way to work. My mom was home alone and wasn't eating well. I finally decided to stop in on my way home the other day and was so happy about what i saw. Residents doing spin class when i entered the community and a very nice young British man that answered all my questions. My mom is moving in next week.
The facility is beautiful, brand new, hurricane strong, and many services in-house: cleaning, laundry, meds, Dr., PT if needed, 3 meals a day, activities, small library, salon appts., van available for trips to stores, church. Can't say enough good about them! The only thing I wish they had is some sort of liaison person/position there to help with issues that arise that my parents need help with at times.
I thought Sarabella was amazing. The place was spotless. It was newer, bigger, more modern - all of which I loved. But those things weren't to my loved one's personal preference. She was looking for a more comfortable (to her) environment.
It's beautiful. The people are very friendly. They are sometimes understaffed. My loved one likes the food. We picked this community because, it ws close to the house, it was brand new, and they offered a discount.
I really really liked Sarabella Senior Living. This was definitely our second choice - we liked everything that we saw. The staff were all wonderful but unfortunately the location was too far from our family.
Staff is left unsupervised and are not trained to do their jobs. They sell you a bill of goods, then can't deliver. You would think with the high rents they charge, you would get at least a decent meal and occasional entertainment. This place is lifeless, so we moved on to a well managed facility where the staff are experienced and friendly. Life's too short to stay in a miserable place.
Liked: Clean in common areas. Activities are plentiful. Restaurant had friendly staff and good resident interaction. Disliked: Communication in general lacking. Resident care was poor.

Its hard to get a hold of someone in memory care to ask questions or take care of my mom. Also, we just moved in a couple months ago and all of a sudden the rent went up [fee removed] per month which is not acceptable for us. We would never have chosen Sarabella if it was [fee removed] a month.
This place is the worst I ever put my mom in the rehab. My mom waited 2 hours for held and had no answered at all. The old women next to us called 4 time she said cannot breathe at all waited 3 hours and the nurse gave her a pill died in the rehab. This the worst place I ever put my mom in there.
