Dr. Powell took great care of my daughter. She needed shoulder surgery and was scared but Dr. Powell’s professionalism and personality really helped her feel at ease. She had a few months of physical therapy, but is fully healed now. It’s always a pleasure to see Dr. Powell for our checkups.

Visited Dr. Powell at his Burbank office and he recommended against surgery, which was nice to hear. I had (what felt like) a really bad injury to my shoulder. Dr. Powell’s advice was specific physical therapy techniques that over time healed my shoulder completely. He said my case was not typical, and that if the physical therapy didn’t work we could talk about other options like surgery. Dr. Powell and his staff are extremely kind and professional. He came as a recommendation from a good friend after I was injured at my job and was looking for an orthopedic surgeon. I needed some damaged tissue removed from my shoulder (SLAP repair). The entire procedure was very seamless, and the healing process as well. Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Powell.
When I first met Dr. Powell I was in pure agony and didn’t know what was wrong. I was having what he diagnosed as severe arthritis in my knee, it was strange how it came out of nowhere. I guess it’s common with wear and tear on the body as an athlete. Dr. Powell was a kind professional and helped fix me up with PRP therapy, and advice on what to do at home. I no longer have any pain, and regularly visit Dr. Powell every few months.
Not sure what these other reviews are about, but every experience I’ve had with Dr. Powell has been professional, with little to no wait-times, and he’s fixed me up each time. I had a shoulder injury years back, and then a knee injury. Dr. Powell performed a second surgery on my shoulder (he seems to have fixed what the first doctor couldn’t) and then I saw him for my knee injury. He’s a world expert in the orthopedics space, I’m very lucky to have found him as my doctor.
Dr. Powell is the best orthopedic knee doctor I’ve ever seen. I’ve struggled with knee arthritis all my life after playing soccer for 30+ years, and Dr. Powell’s PRP injections really have helped. He also recommended some stretches and basic stuff to do on a regular basis to help strengthen me from the inside out. Extremely professional, and at times funny as well. Nice to have a doctor I enjoy seeing.
I had a virtual doctor’s visit with Dr. Powell during Coronavirus, and as soon as his office opened back up I was scheduled. I filled out my first patient papers and was seen within 20 minutes upon arriving. Most importantly Dr. Powell’s recommendations and PRP injections have helped to heal my knee pain. I am happy I visited Dr. Powell because a different orthopedic surgeon recommended surgery, which Dr. Powell said was not necessary.
Dr. Powell made me feel safe and secure before and after my knee surgery. I’ve made a full recovery and my injury was terrible. I owe it all to Dr. Powell. He gave me exact instruction for at home therapy which I followed to a T. Listen to Dr. Powell, he knows what he’s talking about!
