I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother has moved into Seagrass Village of Port Orange. It's somewhat similar to what she was in before. It's assisted living, but it doesn't have a nursing home feel. It's an apartment with a living room and a bedroom. It feels more independent, even though it's assisted living. They seem to have a lot of activities. They have Cheers Hour where they gather in the little open atrium and you can get wine or soda or something like that. I wasn't able to make it, but they h... read more

I visited this facility Seagrass Village of Port Orange was a very nice community. We were very impressed with it. It would be on the top of our list, if we were making a choice now. The only drawback is that in the past hurricanes we had here, their first floor was flooded out. It is concerning to me. Overall, it looked like a very well operated community. They showed the 1-bedroom and the 2-bedroom units. They were quite nice. They showed us all of the common areas, from the dining room to the exercise room. It looked like... read more

Basically we love the friendliness of the staff there. We wish things had gone a little bit more smoothly when the facility flooded from Hurricane Ian. While we understand the staff was probably overwhelmed with having to instantly relocated number of residents, we wish that our loved one had had more maintenance support to get him established in another room and make things accessible. Some of my loved ones items were damaged with the flooding and so we're waiting to see if Seagrass is offering any discount on the monthly c... read more

I visited this facility Seagrass Village of Port Orange was beautiful. We liked the open spaces and the very nice dining room they had. The problem was there was no closet space and the refrigerator was too tiny. Other than that, they were all very helpful and very kind. The food was well presented and it tasted good. They had a gym, a salon, a small pool, and some sitting areas. Everything was very, very nice.
