As others have stated. Company promises so much yet doesn’t deliver. I sent off my impressions and got a 3D rendering afterwards showing progress and a congratulations email stating how I’m eligible and how they can fix my smile. And the over $2000 cost to do so. Once I reviewed the 3D rendering I seen obviously that only my front teeth, which have very little to realign and absolutely nothing done to fix my bottom teeth the problem area. After reaching out to them about my concerns in investing if it’s a mistake or they act... read more
The company does not deliver on what they promise and they have false advertising. I wanted to order replacement retainers (the nighty wear set after alignment is complete), and because it was over 6 months they refused to use the impression I had on file. Instead they wanted me to take new impressions (which I was not told I would need to do and is problematic- if every time I order over 6 months in between there could be micro adjustment of my teeth). The company said there was no way around it. Very dissatisfied with the... read more
My teeth were not terrible to begin with, but definitely could use some straightening. My insurance would not cover aligners, but I decided to go with Smiledirectclub over other brands since the price was cheaper and they appeared to be a bigger company. The initial process was easy (making the impressions and getting your aligners). Aligners initially worked out fine for me. There was some discomfort with some of the aligners edges, especially when switching to a new set, but nothing too terrible. About half way through t... read more
I have always wanted straight teeth. Growing up poor, my parents could not afford to get me braces. When I was finally at a point in my adult life to afford to fix my teeth I looked at braces, Invisalign, Smile Direct, etc. I decided to setup an appointment with the Smile Direct office in Portland the end of 2019. I wore my aligners for 6 months and decided my teeth weren't quite where I wanted them to be so I extended my plan for another couple of months. I have now been wearing my retainers every night since and could not ... read more
So far I am very concerned. My bottom teeth were already straight. It was my top teeth that I wanted to fix spacing. Trying to get someone to see about insurance coverage is very hard. Communication skills as a whole are sketchy. I'm disappointed with the process. I wanted night aligners for the top teeth and paid for the top and bottom. I am so disappointed with the process and see no visible results. I would not recommend this process.
