Food very good, long wating for food, extremly loud when the restaurant is full

Lovely meal and great service at Smith & Wollensky. We were on a Travelzoo deal which offered the set menu with a glass of prosecco. Nice ambience, great service and lovely food. Would recommend.
Finally ate at S&W having heard about it and having had to cancel a previous booking. We only had steaks, wine and coffee: all were excellent. The sommelier suggested an alternative to the Malbec which we had chosen and we really enjoyed it. The steaks were perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth; steak is clearly their expertise compared with restaurants which have one steak option and don't really know how to cook it. A second visit to this restaurant. We ate off the pre-theatre menu which is good value for money with lots of choice. Service is friendly and prompt.

Had an amazing night Saturday to celebrate my Birthday. Came here 2 years ago and left disappointed due to the poor service. Oh how it has changed! We were looked after by informed, happy staff from the waiter through to the restaurant manager. Even surprised by a cake and candle! We will certainly book to go again, even if it’s a 400mile round trip for us. We were made to feel very special. Thank you
Food and service were first class but felt it was a bit pricy for what we had.
The food was amazing, atmosphere relaxed but elegant. Service was polite and informative. Our bill was more than we hoped for, but we had such a nice time we didn’t feel bad.
