Service is excellent but the wine list is both extensive & expensive. Most of the wines on the half bottle red list cost more than some of the 75cc ones. Worth visiting for special occasions.

We ordered starters and mains as well as a bottle of Cabernet. All of the food was of high quality and very good. The wine was expensive but excellent. Service was top notch and the art deco ambiance was a nice change for London. Overall I'd highly recommend S&W as an excellent premium eating experience.

The Wollensky salad with warm potatoes, mushrooms and bacon with a light dressing was superb. The braised shortribs and organic salmon were delicious. The shortribs could have used a bit more falvor but were well prepared.

Great food -the staff were excellent attentive and efficient.It is a large restaurant and with very few customers on the day we visited-the atmosphere was accordingly rather muted.the room is well appointed -it is an American steak house-I have visited S and W in American cities and this could have been any one of them.I like them so it was a good experience for me. The food exactly as described -the size of the steaks could be reduced for European taste-and the cost as well!

I was lucky enough to be taken here for a pre theatre meal on my birthday and i was super impressed. From the moment that i got my complimentary bubbly, the non stop compliments that i did not look a day over 21! the questions so that they could guide me to a perfect cocktail to the meal and dessert, i was hooked! We chose this restaurant on recommendation from a friend. From the moment we worked in we were made to feel welcome and our waitress Patricia was fantastic. We chose the 2 course Sunday roast with a cocktail to start and unlimited wine. The food was great as were the cocktails, so good we ordered more, and both the red and white wine were lovely. We never felt hurried and can't wait for a return visit.

Went there on a 2nd date for a meal before going out and can honestly say it was 1st class. The service was perfect and friendly and they couldn't help and advise you enough. The steak was cooked to perfection and unbelievable in taste. Really was the best I've tasted and although expensive it wouldn't put me off going again. I believe in ,you get what you pay for. I would recommend this restruarnt to anyone and I will certainly be going there again on a regular basis.

My wife and I visited before going to the Adalphi theatre . The staff were very friendly and most accomadating . The have a execelent bar of different whisky's . Lovely friendly invirament .

2nd time at the London restaurant, and I couldn't believe that it could be better than the 1st visit. Best food EVER to go in my mouth. The steak was cooked to perfection and the taste was angelic... Cant wait for next visit to London so I can go here again. Paul Reast Doncaster
