Fantastic food in fantastic art deco/ New York grandeur style. Great service in a style now only found in the more exclusive restaurants. We enjoyed chateaubriand, two sides and a glass if presecco each for an amazing deal price. We will difinately be back. Cautionary note: Drinks prices match the quality of the food so can be pricey.
I took my girlfriend to Smith & Wollensky for Valentine's Day lunch and scored some good brownie points. Everything about the place oozes class, the decor, the smartly dressed attentive staff, even the toilets are nice! We went for the country pate, followed by melt in the mouth prime scottish filet mignon, finished off with a sensational New York cheesecake and treacle pudding (which my girlfriend seemed to eat most of). The beef was beyond tender, the atmosphere friendly yet sophisticated. I would take lunch or dinner here anytime!
Went to a S&W in New York last year and loved it. Great we now have one in London. Great food. Served by a lovely waitress. Use a voucher from living social which was worth doing.
I had wanted to visit this restaurant when I was in New York, so was excited that one was opened in London, so I booked it as a treat for my husband for Valentines. We were not disappointed, we were early for our booking so had a drink at the bar and was then seated for dinner at our reserved time. Simply exquisite, however this is not a place to go on a budget...though remember 'you get what you pay for'.
I have been eating in the Manhattan S&W since 1995 and was delighted when I found out it was coming to London. I took my wife to celebrate her birthday and the whole experience was perfect. The staff, their attitude, the service, the decor, the ambiance, the food, especially the food, all were perfect. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and sides of creamed spinach and onion rings are highly recommended.

Had a blast of nostalgia when I walked into Smith & Wollensky and picked up the familiar white and green napkins and remembered many great meals in the white and green building that houses the original restaurant on Manhattan's Third Avenue. Service was great and the food even better (the portions are the size of Donald Trump's ego so go hungry or share.
