Food was excellent. Steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were also done perfectly - not overcooked or undercooked but with the right amount of crunch - that is very rare. Good atmosphere - but rather noisy so not a place for a romantic dinner. Service was very good until we needed to pay when the waiter was suddenly terribly busy and bridled a bit when I said we had the theatre and needed to go ( the show was at 8 and we were only a few minutes away) but complained we should have told him. Such a great location for brunch and for matinees at the nearby theatres - we were seeing Back to the future and it is moments away. Lovely setting and ambience. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu but the steaks looked amazing on the nearby tables. Very helpful and attentive staff. I love starched linens and great food. Will definitely return for another meal. Will try the great variety of cocktails on our next visit as I was driving that day.

Smith and Wollenskys is one of our go to places for special occasions. Being from NY and currently living in London, we like the at home experience in our adopted city. We are never disappointed with the quality of service and food and will look forward to our next visit!

We ate here early afternoon on a Thursday and the restaurant was quiet. The Gin and rhubarb cocktail was a tasty start but we accompanied the meal with a Malbec, the bottle cost was maybe a bit on the pricey side even for London. We skipped a starter and went straight for a sirloin steak cooked medium rare, it was cooked to perfection and the quality of the steak was excellent, fries and a caesar salad for sides.
