great to find this NY icon here in london. similar styles and the steaks succulent and cooked to perfection. had to wait a little for the table but drinks at the bar were suitably atmospheric.
As good as the NY version... Staff very attentive... Great food and atmosphere
Had a great meal , probably the best Steak I have eaten in London , better in my opinion than Hawksmoor and Gauchos.
From the minute the door is held open for you until you leave, you receive the most wonderful dining experience. Friendly and very professional staff offer superb knowledge and advice. The food is outstanding along with the very moreish cocktails.
We had a wonderful meal here on Saturday night for my husband's birthday - we can honestly say we've never eaten better steak. Completely delicious; their signature steak is highly recommended. Beautiful decor. Fantastic cocktails.
Steaks were outstanding, and portions were generous. The largest cocktail menu I've ever seen and the restaurant was very well well laid out. Bathrooms clean and in good order. The waiters knew their stuff too. Wines were also very nicely paired with our steaks.
I have visited smith and wollensky in Las Vegas and New York and have to say London was as good if not better then those in the USA. Great atmosphere, lovely food and a perfect place to celebrate. Ernest the barman is very knowledgable and friendly and knows his way round the bar...!!!
I have been fortunate to have eaten at S&W in Las Vegas (four times) and in NY (twice) - each of these was a phenomenal experience - so my expectation was set pretty high. I went, as usual, for the USDA 24oz bone-in rib-eye. This was a good cut of meat, well cooked, but it just wasn't the same level of flavour that I have experienced in the US. I had the 21oz New York sirloin on the bone steak,it was amazing!Followed by the gigantic chocolate cake,it was lovely!!
