I really researched vets before coming here. We've been lucky because our dog has never been sick or injured so I was a little trepidatious. But they were super welcoming, very focused on the gentle handling and well being of my dog. I found that so cool because (lets be honest) it takes a lot of energy to make a pet feel truly welcome. My husband and I are very happy with the care we received at South Kendall Animal Hospital. Dr. Angela Ruiz is amazing and explained in detail her assessment of our little baby girl Tabitha (tea cup doggie). The compassion she showed was amazing and very much appreciated as we were worried what was wrong with Tabitha. This vet is fabulous. I can't say enough about how phenomenal they are. The people are very kind and you can tell everyone there is an animal lover. I moved to the area 5 years ago and have been taking all 3 of my dogs there since. None of my dogs even get nervous going in because they know they'll be cuddled and loved by everyone there. Amazing, kind and professional place!! My dog is a gsd and she's super anxious around strangers and the staff were patient and sweet with her!! She's no easy dog to work with and i'm very thankful to have gone here for a very last minute appointment! I'd recommend this place to anyone! they also made their curbside service as painless as possible!

The staff and doctors are some of the best. I started my visits when I lived in Hollywood Fl only because my job was near. I now live in Miami and 15 years later I would not go anywhere but South Kendall Animal Hospital. Thanks, Chico

Great friendly staff from the moment you get there to the moment you leave. Had to take my dog recently and due to new regulations thanks to Covid, I had to call once we were there, checked him in over the phone, then one of the staff members came to my car to get my dog. A few minutes later the doctor called me and explained what my dog had and very clear explanation of what she had done and treatment to follow. I just moved around the corner from this office and I am so impressed! We hadn't established care yet for any of our 3 dogs and one became ill very quickly. They were extremely accommodating and so kind! I was very grateful at the attention and care we received. The vet did a thorough exam and treated my dog appropriately without ordering unnecessary, expensive testing. They gave her some treatments in the office and sent us home with meds and a plan. This was our first visit to this establishment & we'll certainly return. The staff was friendly, engaged, & seemed to care about my pets. As I was checking out, the results of a test were ready. Rather than talking to them over the phone, I was able to talk directly to the vet. That's great customer service!

I have been going to South Kendall Animal Hospital for 14 years. They are "family!" When my Great Dane's health began to decline, they were supportive, helpful and above all empathic. When it came time to put her down, they shed tears right along with us. They had known her for almost nine years. You could not ask for a better team of doctors and staff...small practice but a giant in giving love.
