I came from Spokane after struggling to find a vet capable of helping my 5 YO labs chronic spine issue. It was to the point where I had to operate or put him down. Dr Kate Finnerty was able to evaluate and operate on the same day. It was a brutal surgery, he had a lot of scar tissue,nerves, blood vessels as well damaged discs. Depite all of that mess, she was able to clean it up and give him the best chance at a quality life. This amazing place has saved my little man multiple times. They have also saved me money, the VCA Emergency Vet was letting my dog slowly die for a week charging me a ridiculous amount of money. I transferred him here and they had him recovering within 4 hours. If you have an emergency and can spare the time to drive here, DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE. The staff here is THE BEST and Summit has all the specialists in-house so you don’t have extra fees.
On May 13, 2020, I took my dog, Rocky Junior, to Summit for an MRI and neurological testing. I should point out that, while I love Rocky Junior with all of my heart, he is not a typical dog. I am a professional dog trainer with a behavior specialty, and over the course of his life Rocky Junior has helped saved the lives of over 100 fearful, aggressive dogs, through Behavioral Adjustment Training (BAT).
