I am not satisfied with sunlight financial. My interest rate was set at 2.99% and it as changed to 3.59%. I set up my account as requested, contacted customer service to resolve the issue and 7 months later my interest rate has remained at 3,59%.

My contract with Sunlight says: Monthly payment is $105.11 for the first 17 months, INCREASING TO APPROXIMATELY$142.66 IF THE 26% PAYMENT (ie. Rebate--clever wording) IS NOT PAID BY THE 17th PAYMENT.There no prepayment penalties. I asked my CPA about this. He said: The rebate is a non-refundable credit against withholding taxes you owe. It does not reduce your self employment tax. So if you owe 1,000 in withholding tax for 2020 then the credit will zero out what you owe and the additional credit will carry forward to futur... read more

The salesman allow my ex-husband to sign my name on the solar contract. My ex-husband told him he as not the homeowner but he still allow him sign my name on contract. For $37,000 loan on solar panel you be paying $59,000 after 20 years. I call company to tell them what happen and they said it my fault because I didn't want get the salesman in legal trouble. I didn't realize that I be paying until after 1 year my $170 payment is now $255 a month after 19 more years I be paying almost $20,000 in interest. I am single mom and ... read more

8/21/2019 No stars Cruddy! If your are considering any financial dealings with Sunlight. STOP NOW! You can pay them on time, never miss a payment, they will put a lien on your credit for less than $10,000. They talk nice, but they are terrible.

While it was great to be able to get my solar panels and arrange the loan quite quickly with Sunlight Financial it went downhill after the loan was in servicing. I wasn't getting statement"s, they didn't start the drafts from my bank account. When I made extra payments they went to pay interest first on a payment that wasn't even due yet. When I would call the servicing department I got nowhere. The standard answer for everything is always "sometimes that happens " - these customer service reps never seem to know the answer ... read more
