If I could give negative stars, I would. One star is far too generous for the experience I had. We contracted Tax Rise to assist us with a ****** IRS tax debt after their representative assured us that our balance could likely be reduced to ***** or less. Trusting these assurances, we paid $4,250 for their services. This was a waste of money. Tax Rise put me on a payment plan with the **** which I was already on. This is a scam. A complete scam. They never follow through with what they say they will do. They took my money and did not do one thing for me. I am trying to get some of my money back but they dont return my phone calls. I do not understand why they have an high rating with the BBB.
These guys are complete scam artist. They are salesmen. Once they get your money theyre going to say it is a lawyer fee and you will never get it back. Then you find out that they cant deliver on none of the promises they reeled you in with. I paid $3000 and all they did was file my taxes and said they negotiated with the *** for me ??????. They took my money and never helped me. Tried getting my money back and they wanted to close my account, which they did, and I got no money. Back. They did nothing and now I'm still dealing with the same issue. The perception they left me with was not good. I just wanted my money back so I could go somewhere else to get help.
This company scammed me into signing up. In the end, I now owe more than I did before hiring them.Initial screening: They say the call is being recorded, but I don't think it is. I wouldnt even **** them one star. This company is a fraud. They filed my taxes late without any of my business expenses didn't ask me for any extra information for my business expenses. So I filed a complaint with bbb, and tax rise answered with offering to pay the almost 2000 they caused me in late fees only if I withdrew my complaint. Instead of doing the right thing.
