There is no question - just GO. Everything our table ordered was superb - we had almost everything on the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu and shared bites around the table - and the Anura private selection Pinotage wine was exquisite! I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu and get more of that wine!
My first time dining at Chef’s Table was a great experience. The food, service and atmosphere were perfect. I will be back.
Great food but wine mark-up and drink pours are worst among other restaurants in River Oaks and Upper Kirby. This to me proves the chef owner may not know how to operate in the most upscale area of Houston. His past experience is in suburban Houston and a moderate restaurant in the Galleria Mall- both having significantly less sophisticated customers. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME VISITING THEY PROVIDED EXCELLENT SERVICE AND FOOD THE CHEF EVEN VISITED OUR TABLE
Our first HRW visit of this season was with The Chef’s Table - River Oaks and we are SO glad it was! We started with the Caesar salad and bacon-wrapped chicken bites followed by the Durban chicken and the wild-caught South African kingklip. Each was incredibly flavorful - seasoned to perfection. The tenderloin with blue cheese is amazing. Great food a drinks. We eat at the bar and had a wonderful evening. Will be back for sure!
Best new restaurant we have been to in years. Great new menu and well presented.
The food was absolutely amazing. In each dish, you could taste layers of complex flavor. The calamari was the best we ever had, crispy but light.
