First time here, & hope to be back soon. The carrot soup was fantastic and the fish, an African breed I wasn’t familiar with, was light, perfectly cooked and delicious. The flavor profiles were stellar in all the dishes of my friends, also.
Excellent experience for HRW 2026! Had the ribs for the appetizer, the sea-bass with crabs and the toffee pudding. Funny thing …. I even love the music playing , think all your favorite classics from the 80s, 90s and 2000s set to jazz or a bossa nova
The food is great. Service is good . Very noisy. Hard to have conversation
Me and my date had a lovely experience! It was both our first time there and everything was even better than expected. We had the ostrich and the kingklip, both exquisite. I can’t remember the name of our server, maybe Matt, but he was also really nice and patient and answered all of our questions to help us decide. Can’t wait to be back!
Tried The Chef's Table for the first time for date night, and was a little let down. The service was good and food was fine, but nothing to write home about. We got their sticky pork belly, bacon salmon, beef wellington, and sticky toffee pudding. The pudding was amazing and the star of the show. First time attending with my fiancé, we enjoyed the food, the service was fantastic. Server even educated us on the some dishes. Overall experience was amazing. Highly recommend.
The hostess said the words let’s stick them her on this table when we checked it. It was our anniversary and she did not wish us. Another server happened to be there and he greeted and wished us which was great! Then we sat on a tiny table very close to another couple so I requested they move us to a both or another bigger table as our reservation was for 9:30 pm and there were plenty of tables open. We are so excited about this new Houston restaurant inspired by South African cuisine. Exceptional food and service, and we loved the signature sticky toffee pudding dessert. You have to try it! We had an opportunity to meet the chef, who was wonderful and kind, and our waitress was so professional.
Loved the carrot ginger soup! It was just as I remembered from Peli Peli. The chef is a sweetheart and walks around talking to customers.
