Friends brought us to the new Chef's Table location in Upper Kirby. They were fans from the original location. Did NOT disappoint! We go to Restaurant weeks lunch or dinner twice a week to either try new places with promise or revisit old favorites. For 2026 this is our absolute favorite. The flavor for everything is different in a very good way. Taste combinations are unusual and delightful. Excellent experience at The Chef’s Table! The food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious, with amazing service to match. Special shoutout to Chef Paul for making our visit even more memorable with his personable conversation and culinary journey. Can’t wait to come back!
We ordered off the Houston Restaurant Week menu, which was excellent. All but one dish was outstanding. The food was flavorful and interesting. The main concern with this restaurant is that the service was too slow. I am not sure if they are still working out the kinks from being a new restaurant or now. If the service was better, we will go back. Lastly, I will add that the price was great for the Houston Restaurant Week, but looking at the regular menu, the prices seems quite high.
The place was very attractively decorated. The music was at the perfect level. The waiter, Drew was attentive and personable. Food was quite yummy from the carrot/ginger soup to the Kingklip fish and the exceptional Caeser salad. We even had desert - the passionfruit creme brulee was excellent
I dined at Chef's Table for lunch during Houston Restaurant Weeks. The two-course meal included and appetizer and entree. I chose the bacon wrapped chicken and South African Kingklip. Both were delicious, but the highlight was the Kingklip. Our server was excellent and very knowledgeable about the dishes and offerings. I also had a glass of Moscato, which was some of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for date night or special occasions.

excellent menu and food standouts at our table were the lobster ravioli, Impala tenderloin Kingclip and sauteed calmari waiter was good but conveyed his information in a rather high pressure tone. this , after a few visits is my favorite houston restaurant
I went during HRW. The chef/owner was nice and greeted us when we arrived. Overall, we were super excited to try out the food; however, after all of the hype, I was a bit underwhelmed. The presentation was great. My friends and I thought the food had great potential but needed more seasoning/flavor.
First time visiting this restaurant. Food was very pricey but delicious. Service, was excellent. Highly recommended
