Met a co-worker for dinner. The Old-Fashioned was very good. We shared the radicchio salad, grilled Brussels Sprouts, the Torta Espãnola, the bacon wrapped dates, the asparagus, and the Moroccan Brick Chicken. On the waiter’s recommendation, we even sampled the Bone Marrow Board. Neither of us have tried bone marrow before. We’ve been hearing so much about The Cozy Taberna, we had to come try it out for a couples date night. The entire place was clean and classy, with nice ambient lighting. It had a very cool atmosphere, having the option to sit at the bar and chefs counter, or have a more intimate dining setting in one of the booths. Excellent evening. We had an early seating at the Chef’s Bar. It is the Best seat in the house! Great entertainment,too. Highly recommend this new addition to Salem’s downtown food options.
Food was great especially the salmon and the lemon cake….superb!
We tried several different plates and all were amazing. Clams as the appetizer were fresh. The cedar plank salmon soft and flaky the best I've had I believe. Steak was tender and perfectly cooked. Drinks strong and the lemon desert to die for. We'll be back often.
