If I could give less stars I would. I cancelled my membership for a few reasons, but a big one being my kids were constantly getting sick at the day care. They allow kids in with green snot dripping into their mouths, so EVERYONE gets sick. Every other week I wouldn't be able to go because I'm not a jerk trying to get other people kids sick. But the staff is ultimately responsible for turning parents with sick kids away. But they don't, and the workers bring their OWN sick kids in. But anyways that wasn't even my biggest iss... read more

Do not sign up ! They take your banking info then if you want to stop your membership or you move or you have to save money and want to end your membership they shut you out of your account and then after telling you are off auto renewal they keep charging your checking account and it will cost you money at the bank like $35 to stop payment ! Because you can't talk to anyone at corporate office you have to end your membership via email . Not locally ! No other gym does this but them ! BEWARE!

This is the worst of any gym in terms of cancelling policy. Complete predators. You cannot cancel if the manager isn't there - and one never is. They shouldn't insist you come in to cancel anyway. The manager wasn't there when I signed up, why does he have to be there for you to stop charging my card? There are reputable gyms out there. This isn't one of them. West Hartford Edge is like The Apple Store with weights. Almost everyone is constantly on their phone. They get mad at you when you jump on "their" machine in the middle of their texting... the machine they weren't even using. After Tik Tok'ing, they use the weights and typically have the cra@piest form ever. Can't wait to rejoin a hardcore gym and leave Planet Fitness 2.0.

HORRIBLE TO CANCEL!!! When o sing up they say that I can cancel anytime, now for cancel if I move I need to send them my contract that I buy a house or my new lease!! This is so STUPID I JUST DON'T want to go anymore I don't feel safe!!! This is horrible DON'T SIGN UP!!

Ive been a member of the edge clubs for years, usually frequenting the meriden location, and manchester. Me and my wife recently started using the west hartford/new britain edge. We just like to use different gyms to stay from getting bored. The location is clean, theirs nothing wrong with the facility. My only complaint is the Staff. They are far from attenative, you can stand around with a drink in your hand while you watch 3 of them stand around. They dont look at check ins. If you are trying to cancel at edge you may as well try selling your first born or pulling out your teeth. The club before Covid was always crowded and messy and they never even after Covid let you back out if a contract. Terrible and hard to work with customer service.

Horrible club. Beyond the fact that it's not clean, the Edge only cares about money. Their corporate greed is more important to them than the well-being of their patrons especially amid the global pandemic. LA Fitness is vastly superior. Even my basement is better than the Edge. Save your money and dignity by going literally any where else to workout.
