don't sign up here if you're 100% sure you can't commit to it for a year. i recently moved to ohio because I had no choice and I've had to go through so many phone calls to get them to cancel my account. The customer service wanted me to submit proof that I live in ohio. I had just moved in with family so I had no way of doing that and then they finally canceled my membership after a couple emails. Let's start with the good. The equipment is pretty good and you'd definitely be able to hit every muscle group. The gym is very clean and spacious and you will always get a good workout. The issue with this place is the contract and the hours. When you sign up for a membership, it's basically impossible to get out of it. When you're being walked through the signup process, they don't tell you that you have to reach out to a third party company to cancel your membership. Plenty of amenities and a clean environment, however, my issue recently has been other gym-goers. No matter what time of day I go in, I always see one (if not more) people recording their workout for social media. I even see tripods set up in the middle of the floor, blocking equipment or walkways! I often feel uncomfortable and end my workout early to leave because of this. Joined a year contract but wish I could leave sooner. This gym is for the young crowd! The music they play is rap eminem and is really loud!! I joined because of childcare but this is not a friendly childcare. It's like they don't want to be there most days they don't even smile or Greet you in the childcare. I also don't understand why they up your rates after a year? If you are loyal member they should do the opposite.
DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING! Even though you are told you can cancel at anytim, YOU CANNOT CANCEL! I sent the medical documents that were required and they denied my membership cancellation. So unless you want to be stuck paying until your contract runs out and the greedy merciless owner changes their policy, buyer BEWARE! Terrible business practices in the day of Covid! Who needs to scrutinize your medical information to cancel a gym membership? Disgusting
ALWAYS WAY TOO PACKED! There is never a good time to go, I have messaged the manager and corporate and they will not DO A THING! They literally care more about signing up members than the experience for the current members its IMPOSSIBLE TO WORKOUT. There are not enough free weights, benches or squat racks to do anything other than cardio. We signed up and they will not let us cancel, worst "corporate" gym ever.
Do not join this club! Charged me twice for the towel fee of $50. Rejoined automatically without my permission. I cancelled my membership and was charged the next months fee.
Been a member since open. Lately the staff seems to care less about safety. I see at least half the people working out there with mask around their neck for the entirety of their visit . The staffs sees and even has conversations with them and never once ask to pull mask up. I feel very unsafe and would not recommend to anyone .
Do not go to Edge. Pick literally any other gym. It's impossible to cancel this membership and the customer service is completely useless. Not only did they neglect to mention you can't cancel your membership at will, but they neglected to mention the hidden $50 fee and the fact that my membership will auto-renew (even though I don't want it ) for an additional fee of $5/month
