My wife and I really enjoy working out here. They keep the equipment in great shape and the club is kept very clean! We also love the smoothie bar and the employees are very friendly! The other thing we really like is that the crowd is made up of younger and older people and very fit to people just starting to work out. Anyone would feel comfortable working out here!

We appreciate the awesome review Dennis!
Excellent gym in terms of value/cost. Best I've ever seen. I've been a member of five different gyms over the past 20 years including Lifetime fitness and Edge Fitness offers the best value.
Business response:
We appreciate the great review David!
The price is unbeatable for amazingly maintained equipment. The best part of coming to edge unlike competitors is they have a staff around the clock cleaning equipment so you can ensure it will always be clean!

Thanks for the 5 star review Jake! We appreciate the positive feedback!
The EDGE Club in Crystal Lake, Illinois, has one employee who stands out...His name is "Anthony." He explained everything when I met him while joining a few months ago.. He was extremely kind, helpful, answered all of my questions and took me for a nice tour of the facility...He's a big reason why I decided to join..I do love the facility.. As a former U.S. Marine, he has the perfect skill sets as required for his current role (Membership of new prospective members) He's also able to do some Personal Training when needed... read more

Wow Mark thank you for sharing this awesome feedback about Anthony! We appreciate your service and sacrifice and are honored to have you as part of our Edge FitFam!
I love this gym! Reasonable priced, large, awesome equipment, and more! It's a very unique place with my favorite area being the cinema room. You work out on cardio machined while watching a movie and they always have great options and new releases! A great way to get cardio in while being distracted by a movie! I do also enjoy the womens area as the normal gym can get crowded (I've only gone during busy times due to work). The equipment is new and clean. The locker rooms are clean and nice as well and offer a sauna insid... read more

Thanks Rachel for the 5 star review! We appreciate the positive feedback!
Great Equipment, Plenty of Friendly Staff to Help, & Clean Facility Last gym I was a member of besides Curran Mixed Martial Arts in Crystal Lake or the countless military facilities around the world was GOLD's GYM. That was nearly twenty years ago, and I'll have to say that the quality of equipment has exponentially improved since then. Reason I joined the Edge was because I had knee surgery last year and I needed specific equipment to continue my rehab on my own. They have it all! Yes, I read people saying... read more

We appreciate the wonderful review Paul! We are so thrilled to hear you are enjoying your membership and appreciate the fair assessment.
Gorgeous facility. Immaculate. Could use another tri machine . Clientele friendly. Peak times should be avoided. Do diligence. 1 negative- the mens locker room is unwelcoming d/t very low temp. This would appear to be part of the business model. For this downside, I'm withholding a 5th star.
Business response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback Paul. We do appreciate the 4 star rating.
Came here yesterday with my son as a guest. Fabulous facility! I can't speak to the accounting or management issues in the other post as I did not have that experience. My review is based on the gym itself. I've been a gym member for several decades at a variety of locations both in the city and in the suburbs. A new gym with the the best equipment and of course everything is brand new. Great amenities with tanning, spin class, group fitness classes, protein shakes and a separate womens area. This area includes a separate wo... read more

Thank you for the wonderful review Kim!
WARNING TO ALL PARENTS - ESPECIALLY SPECIAL NEEDS FAMILIES I am writing this to warn the Crystal Lake community about the childcare room (Kids Club) at this facility. There was a serious safety incident involving the mistreatment of my 3-year-old nonverbal autistic son while in their care. Instead of showing basic human transparency, upper management actively tried to keep me in the dark. I discovered that the Kids Club Regional Manager explicitly instructed the local Club Manager to stay silent and keep the details of the ... read more

We take concerns of this nature extremely seriously. While privacy regulations and legal protocols strictly dictate how video footage and internal reviews are handled, we deeply regret the stress and frustration this situation has caused your family.
