We have found the indigo staff to be friendly and it has been a good place for my mom. They have a new activities coordinator that has been doing a nice job with more activities including some that involve families. As far as improvement I would say it would be nice to have more people there to add some more friends for the residents.
Originally I placed [name removed] at Artis of Elmhurst via a place for mom over 2 years ago, which was taken over several months ago by Chapters, which lasted a few months, which was just taken over by Indigo in August. [name removed] is comfortable there and some of the caregivers that were there with Artis are still there, but there has been a lot of turnover, but I am still happy there as I feel he is getting good care. And I was not happy with Chapters, but so far so good under Indigo.
I would recommend it. I like the small size. I picked them because of the size and price.
I tell everyone we feel fortunate he is there. This facility offered everything we wanted. I would recommend to others.
We picked this community, because of the price of the atmosphere, it's very bright, friendly people and clean. It's a great place for your loved one. I would recommend it, and I have.
My mother lived at Artis Senior Living for a little over a year and a half. While there she received excellent care. The facility is small so they know everyone by name. It is clean, bright facility with single rooms for each resident. They have a wonderful program of activities as well as events for family participation. We enjoyed many Sunday picnics with mom and the Artis family of caregivers. They communicate well with the family, they treat the residents well, and they have a variety of activities for the residents to partake in. We picked this community, because of the intimacy and price.

They staff had a lot of patience with our loved one and compared to other places and what we were able to receive the value did really well for us. All of the meals that we saw when we would come to visit looked really good and they did have activities going on for those who were ale to participate in them. Based on the experience we had we would recommend them to other families.

All of these type of communities are expensive but everything we have experience so far with Artis Senior Living of Elmhurst we have been very happy so overall the value is totally worth it. We have had a few meals with our loved one and they are delicious, and we know he seems to eat everything they serve up for the residents. We are not sure just how many activities they have because our loved one does to really participate in them, but sometimes he will join in at the community center.
