I appreciated the sign in process, and that we had to sign in and out and have our temperature taken and recorded. A definite positive these daes. The gentleman who showed us around was kind and answered all our questions. However, the facility looked dark and dreary to me. We were told they were going thru a complete renovation, so hopefully that will spruce things up a bit. I didn't see any residents out and about. I am so happy to live at The Village. It is 100% better than the last senior community I lived at. I appreciate the warm, fresh, tasty, homecooked meals that are made daily. They keep up our building and there is always hot water when I shower. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Thank you to everyone that helps keep our place running.
The staff members are very friendly, they are just really great and have been keep constant communication. The residents can participate in hallway bingo and zoom chats with their families.
The Village has all levels of care. Ranging from light Retirement Living, assistance in your own apartment to Memory Care. The community has plenty of open space and easy to navigate hallways and floors. There staff there around the clock. Friendly and knowledgeable caregivers and nurses that are social and greet everyone with smiles. The food is freshly prepared each day. You can smell the delicious cooking through out the building. The Village is clean and the staff are friendly. My mother had a couple of problems and the staff was quick to address them in quickly and efficiently. They are in the mid range 2,000 to 3,000 depending on level of care but are well worth it if you have the money and want a nice place for your family.
Visited 5/28/2010. Dogs allowed. Internet may be free as in Tacoma, but on edge. No air conditioning in the room, only in the hallway on the top floor. Residents seem to be comfortable, enjoy the staff and living there. Staff were very casually dressed which seemed to fit. No kitchens, but they provide a small refrigerator and microwave. Looks good,can't find any photos of facility.
Basic rate $ move in fee, 250 pet.
We showed up for our tour and they did not know that we were coming. There were residents outside smoking so we decided to talk with them and ask them how they like living there and they immediately said not to move my mom there. They told us there were not nearly enough staff. The whole facility was under renovation when we went- so when they walked us through everything was torn apart.
