Get directionsI am a friend or relative of a resident This place is very new and has few residents right now but the staff is wonderful. They are still learning just as the residents are but they are very caring and thorough.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother was at The Villages at Southern Hills. The long-term care side was terrible. We cleaned her room at the long-term care after she passed because they lost her wheelchair and one of her hearing aids, and they have not responded to us at all about how to replace those. When my mom was feeling sick, I asked them to get us to see the doctor that's on staff and figure out what was going wrong with her, and they just said, "Oh, she just has an upset stomach. We'll just ... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My husband stayed at The Villages at Southern Hills. I don't have a lot of positives to say; it was not a good experience. The staff was not very kind; they were kind of rude. They did not understand his condition and what his abilities were. He would have to wait thirty minutes to an hour for someone to come and check on him after he had used the call light. He ran out of clean clothes. Their washer broke, and they did not do anything to ensure that he had clean clothes. ... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Beautiful building, but the room that my mother stayed in belonged in a broken down Motel 6! There were so many things wrong with the room she was in, but main issue was no air conditioning! On her last day there she had a cardiac issue and no nurses answered the call or the cries for help from the roommate. Finally an administrator heard and came to the room and called 911. When we contacted the facility to find out what had happened, they stated they would look into why ... read more
I am/was a resident of this facility Mark this facility off your list. The rooms are okay. Staff members are cold. There are no activities especially since COVID.
I am/was a resident of this facility Staff is great. Admin not so much. The hospital from whence I came discharged me and the doctor has released me. But the Villages will not let me check out without encountering a large fee for release before approved? Approved by who? I was to talk with a social worker a few days ago but it was a no-show. I really hate to go the legal avenue to obtain my release. My lawyer has bigger fish to fry but it may come to that. I guess I'm just an old lady (68) who has above average resources...... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My father went to skillled nursing for rehab after a fall in Feb, 2020. Staff was attentive and helpful during admission process. After that, communication was almost non-existent. Facility was locked down due to Covid, we had no way to check on him or how he was being treated. Lee, Social Workers, Director of Nursing did not address our concerns. He contracted the virus but they didn't notify us, I just happened to call and check on him. Dr. Zandi couldn't be bothered to ... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My father was transferred to this facility for short term rehabilitation. He left the hospital in good spirits and his health was very stable. Upon arrival we were treated as if we had pissed someone off. The nurse aid (nice neck tattoo) was extremely rude and was only interested in sitting in a chair in the hallway and texting on her phone. The nurse call button goes unanswered. It took over two hours on one occasion. Medicine is not given on time and sometimes not at all... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident The care the Villages provides at their skilled nursing unit was pathetic. My Dad was in the hospital with pneumonia and a kidney infection... and left the hospital healthier than he left The Villages. There were some days when the only care he received were meal delivery and medication distribution. He was supposed to be receiving 1 hour of therapy a day and that did not happen...however, they did not hesitate to bill for the therapy that did not occur. The majority of th... read more
