Get directionsI am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My wife was at The Villages at Southern Hills for rehabilitation. They were nice and very attentive. My wife had fallen and broken her hip, so she needed some help to go from the bedroom to the bathroom. They had a little button you pressed for the nurse, and they were pretty fast to come in there. Her room was very small and did not have too much privacy. It had just a curtain, and she shared it with another woman, but it all worked out. I went with her several times to t... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My husband moved to The Villages at Southern Hills. It's old, but it's clean. The people are friendly. The staff was good to him. He knows all their names. He's having physical therapy and speech therapy. They showed them movies. There are not many selections. They only get a selection between two different items on their meals, but it is well prepared. It's fresh. It's well-seasoned. My husband likes it.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother-in-law stayed at The Villages at Southern Hills for two weeks. The room was clean, but it was not homey. It looked and felt like a hotel room. I didn't interact with the staff too much. My spouse took care of almost everything. But the staff is fine. They were nice and helpful.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mom was at The Villages at Southern Hills. The food was better there. The upkeep of the facilities was a little better, too. However, I didn't feel like she got better care. They were professional, but they didn't particularly establish any relationships. Where she is now, they treat her like she's part of the family. They are like caring for a family member, and there's a difference there. The therapies my mom received were excellent. The room was nice. It was a nice d... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother was living in The Villages at Southern Hills when she got sick, and they allowed her to return to her own apartment there. We've done three convalescences there and we were happy with the place, that's why we went back. The staff that we deal with there is extraordinary and we're very pleased with them, but we don't quite feel quite the same way with the kitchen. She's in her own apartment and they allowed us to provide her 24-hour care for her there. After we di... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother was in the Villages twice for rehab and my husband was there once for rehab. Excellent care, cooperative and helpful people, great food, lovely rooms. Keep in mind that most people only write a review if they're mad about something, so don't take their word for it. It's a five-star facility! The Villages is highly recommended by doctors, almost all residents, and my family. My mom is starting her third stay today, and she wouldn't go back if it wasn't awesome.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Good except on weekends - they are like all nursing facilities who although unplanned - end up short staffed leading to long wait times to get a response when the nurses light is turned on - often 30 to 60 minutes. The process for follow through - such as forwarding medical records to other doctors is never followed through. Follow up is always required and don’t be surprised if multiple reminders are seemingly mysteriously lost. Delays in receiving medication after it is... read more
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident The Villages at Southern Hills has a staff that truly cares for the patients. The staff worked with my sister, Rita D's doctor to identify and resolve post surgical complications. The administration worked with me to resolve medical insurance issues. I highly recommend The Villages at Southern Hills to anyone in the Tulsa, OK area. Everything about the facility is outstanding.
I visited this facility The rooms at The Villages at Southern Hills were nice. I just didn't like the administration. I went and toured it first and then took my mother to tour it. Then the director went to evaluate her and assess her. She was dozing off to sleep, and I found that she hadn't slept at all the night before. The director said I could bring her back another day and when I tried to do that, she said no and that her nurse would get the assessment the next day and they would call me, but they never called. I called... read more
