Great tour, answered all questions. Gave us opportunities to try the dining, chat with other residents. Loved the flexibility to stay in same room as long as possible. Felt brighter than other facilities visited.

My experience with Woodmark at Sun City has been excellent. They truly care about and for their residents. The staff is excellent and easy to work with. They have been extremely supportive and and communicative to my mom about my dad every day she visits. Overall they are amazing and recommend them to everyone who has asked for advice on how to start with elder care.It is very clean and the staff doesn't allow the residents to sit in their own waste too long. I'm very pleased that item our expectations and more! The staff and residents are nice as well as friendly! I enjoyed my visit. I would recommend this place to anyone. The only thing I did not care for about the units is that there are no stoves for those residents that want to make something on their own that is NOT on the menu. I can understand why Woodmark doesn't want the liability. There needs to be 1 other maintenance person. Its way too much work for one person. I can't wait visit again! Most of the staff at The Woodmark at Sun City are very friendly and helpful. The facility is in pristine condition and doesn't feel like an "old folks home". The move in process we experienced wasn't very good and I didn't feel held up to what we had been told it would be. A lot of the activities are geared for older people and my parents are not as old as most of the other residents, so it makes it frustrating for them. Overall, I would definitely recommend The Woodmark at Sun City!

The communication with the family was very good during the application process, but not as good after the resident has moved in. The food is not great and they have policies on holidays of just delivering box lunches, which is difficult for residents who do not have family in the area to take them out for the holiday. The facility has an excellent team in place that are professional and care well for the daily needs of the residents -medications, housekeeping, friendliness etc. Unfortunately, unless initiated by the family, there is no communication after the resident has moved in. This weakness and others relating to the move-in experience can be easily remedied with administrative attention and intention. At first there were a couple of things to work out, but after that the care was excellent. The staff and care givers were good to my loved one. And I have to give a shout out to the Hospice Care and their staff. They are/were amazing.

I think the care is above average. There are some things that were stated to us that would be taken care of, and after moving in we found out they were not included. But overall, the atmosphere and everything there is very warm. And I would recommend it to other families.
