I choose the Woodmark because it was clean, the furniture wasn't ripped and the place didn't smell like urine, however they need to hirer more help and not have them multitask their jobs for better resident care!

Nice, convenient location. Tour was short and sweet. Answered all questions and I left w freshly baked, warm scones - a nice touch.

I wrote a review the same day I took the tour but I did not put in two other points that are very important to me. 1. I really appreciated the wonderfully well lit hallways. I have some problems with my sight and I can see so very clearly there. 2. The variety of activities available. I love being around people and the whole atmosphere of the place is very pleasing to me.

A couple quick notes about the form you wanted me to fill out on the Woodmark. The staff situation is right now pretty stable with the management team in the various department heads however housekeeping workers cleaners the caretakers and the medical technician seem to be a bit understaffed many times her will have only one person to do the caretaking duties or I've seen it even with one person for the medical technicians. First of all it's a very tough occupation taking care of the elderly with memory issues but I feel like the staff do a good job. I understand how difficult it is and give them much credit although it is difficult to see some of the residents in their wheelchairs all leaning over and asleep. Our experience was that my mother in law was quite elderly and legally blind so could not participate in the activities but many did which was nice to see. The Sales Director, [name removed] did a great job of answering our questions, showing us several floor plans, and giving us updates on changes and improvements the facility has added or plans to add. This was the first tour we did of assisted living facilities. It was a Saturday so it was relatively quiet. It was clean and festive for the holidays where some residents decorated their doors. The residents appeared happy and the staff was greeting them as we went by. The price is in range and we’ll see how it ranks after visiting a few other facilities
