My mom was on hospice for less than a week before she died. We got a lot of attention from people who weren’t helpful, like the chaplain, and not much support from the people whose help we really needed, like the CNA and the RN.

The worst way to find out about problems with Hospice is after the fact. That was our unfortunate case with Total Hospice & Palliative Care. First you have to tell them what to do and when, they will not be proactive on your account. They did not get our mother the care kit until we ordered them to. Then after she died we had to wait 11 days to get her death certified. The state of Texas gives 10 day to certify the death. Again we had to order them to do it. Not a good company for your loved ones.
