Skip the color ink ripoff and just use a Brother printer I've had a Brother HL-2170W printer for more than a decade, and I guess that this is my fourth toner cartridge for it. Print quality had always been good, and in rare cases when I need color prints, I just go to Staples for documents (somewhat pricey) and Walgreens for photos (good value).
Quality product Like you, I was a little turned off by the high price of genuine toner, but after trying some junky off brands, and throwing them out when the are no good quite soon, there is nothing like the original. Just spend the dough on the good stuff.

Best Buy I've tried other brands of toner for my Brother printer and some of those recycled ones, too. You can save a ton of money with the latter, at least you'll think you can. But I've found that those recycled cartridges usually leave streaks on the page or very poor quality print, and peter out very quickly. I firmly believe I save money by buying the Real McCoy. I get high-quality printing for a long time. At least that's how it works for me.
