Have used cartridges for many years... Works great, have printed reams of paper with this printer, best I've ever owned, best B&W printer, just keeps on ticking... Cartridge holds up well, when toner light comes on; just block photo eye port on cartridge, get about half a ream more normal printouts, replace when print goes light...
these companies make their money selling toner I'm a big believer in buying first party stuff bc you always get what you pay for. in the case of toner, I can understand why someone wouldn't want to pay first party prices for what amounts to just black on paper. This was the first time I had to buy replacement toner, so I just defaulted to buying first party Brother toner. Genuine toner cartridge works! Excellent quality toner cartridge. This is superior to the knockoffs, which I have tried to save money. I have no problems with original Brother products.
Changing the cartridge I hadn't changed a cartridge in a long time and forgot how to get the old one out but with a bit of finesse, out it came and the new one went in without a hitch. Brother printers have been most reliable for me.

Longer but expensive This is a genuine brother print cartridge. It last longer that the non genuine cartridge. The value for money is a little high here.
Great cartridge I've had my printed for 8 years and these have worked great. Lots of copies. All looking great.
Lasts longer Excellent all around. Lasts alot longer than office depot.
