I just got off the phone trying to set up an appointment and the receptionist was curt and rude. I was asking questions to figure out what your hours were and what times worked best for my schedule. I didn't even get to ask anything when the receptions said "You can call around and ask to see if anyone else has earlier options." I found this vet through reviews. My first couple experiences were with Dr B, and he is excellent. Unfortunately he is not the whole of this clinic, and the rest of my experiences have been horrible. Last year we had to see Dr Borne for our dog's annual checkup. He didn't need shots or anything, this literally should have been a $50 check up. We recently moved into a house with a yard, and I noticed he was a little itchy so I asked about allergies and what I could do (bathe more, or less, allergy shampoo, etc). They kept us ... read more

Completely unhappy with my experience at this clinic. I will say that the staff is friendly and the clinic itself is clean and nice, but the way the vet went about my dogs treatment is incredibly irritating. I took my dog in because he developed some scabs/dry skin patches on the end of his ears, that was most likely an infection. They were incredibly itchy and making him miserable. I came here several times. The front office staff and Dr. Marzke are all very nice people. This review is based on three visits with emphasis on the most recent one, in which I took my cat in to have a general exam. My cat is 8 years old, feisty, and has all her claws. Essentially she's a cat. She came out of her crate unhappy and growling; I'm sure my girl was smelling all kinds of other animal scents in there and was fearful. I chose this clinic because they had great reviews. When I visited, the normal vets were out of town and there was another vet filling in, so my experience may not be typical. However, I took my two dogs in for their annual shots. When the vet walked into the room, my overly friendly lab ran up to her and jumped on her. She literally jumped back and screamed! I found Topaz Veterinary Clinic on Yelp. They have wonderful reviews. My experience with them is based off of a phone call. When I called the office to ask about their prices. (I have a cat who needed an annual check). I felt that the person who answered and took my call was not very personable over the phone. I asked about shots. The response I received was it cost $22.00. When I asked if that was that for all of shot together she said No, it was $22.00 each.
