Noise way too loud. We were seated at a table in a row of tables between the two walls. The space between our backs and the wall tables was so small both of us were continuously being hit/bumped by guests or wait staff trying to get to tables past us. Constantly being bumped does not make for a good dining experience.
Excellent food and atmosphere…our waiter was extremely attentive.
This restaurant has maximized its seating capacity and even with a corner table it was loud. It was also COLD and 2/3 of the way through dinner they cranked the AC more and I had to put on my jacket. It was so cold my friend said as we were leaving that it will be nice to get outside where it is warmer and this was October 18th. The fish dishes were fine but the Liver Special was terrible. We love this iconic NY restaurant so much! The food and service are always great and then the desserts end up stealing the whole show. We’ve gone on holidays, special occasions and just any day, and it’s always the same - perfect!
Wonderful dinner as always. We have been coming in for dinner every time we visit the city for the last 10 years. Never a bad meal. Always stellar service. Tonight our party of 11 had a wonderful meal that will become a treasured memory.
