This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. It always feels like a special experience. The food is outstanding! I especially love the antipasto bar. And the entire staff is absolutely lovely and so welcoming.

For a restaurant in this neighborhood, I’d categorize my experience as fair but not great. The server was very friendly but the service felt very rushed and pushy, as the server immediately recommended several of his “favorite dishes,” most of which were among the most expensive on the menu. I usually appreciate fast service, but the speed with which the food came out was staggering, and we received our meals within only a few minutes of ordering, making me wonder if the food was actually pre-made or if it was made to order.... read more

I had an culinarily adept Italian as my guest who was so the thrilled with the authenticity of each vegetable dish that she went back for another three ! The staff is always so congenial and professional, I was very proud of the Trattora’s Italo-American offerings as this very picky (difficult) Italian was practically purring walking into 7th Avenue.
