What You’ll Do:
Birdeye is looking for a passionate and driven Contracts and Billing Specialist to play a key role in supporting the finance, sales and success organizations. This role reports to the Sr. Accountant and is based in Manila.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Sales and Success in addressing customer inquiries related to contract and invoicing/billing issues including manual invoicing and processing ACH requests
- Review submitted contracts/order forms for completeness, accuracy and conformance to sales policies and guidelines
- Work and manage case queue for all cases related to changes in billing, credits, refunds and cancellations
- Establish and maintain good working relationship with customers
- Partner with Sales and Success to deconstruct and solve complex billing issues and assist in account reconciliations for customer billing investigations and disputes
- Ensure all subscriptions and billing align with executed customer contracts and identify efficient processes to scale the business
- Own and manage the overall chargeback process
- Avalara/Sales Tax experience
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and work on ad-hoc projects, as needed
- Analyze billing data, including the number of invoices, revenue trends, and customer billing history, as needed
- Prepare detailed reports and summaries to aid in decision-making processes, as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in billing operations
- Billing system (Salesforce Billing) implementation experience a plus
requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of customer order management or billing support experience in the technology industry for SaaS companies
- Process improvement and/or project management experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to articulate verbally and written, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues, ability to think quickly
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, and extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and excel in a fast growing/fast paced environment delivering accuracy while managing to deadlines where adaptability is imperative
- Ability to understand broader business and financial issues and juggle multiple projects and tasks
- Must maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations while working within a team environment
- Strong level of expertise in Salesforce and Recurly or other billing and CRM software
