I wanted to get out of the contract but they lowered my amount to pay $20,000 dollars cash. Didn’t have that kind of money at the time but I got an offer for paid in full, but have to choose a destination to close my account in full. What was available ***** ******** ***. I have to pay maintenance fees on odd years which I’m only eligible for visiting as well. I’m still not satisfied but I agreed to the offer because at least I was out of the contract and account is closed.
My experience with Wesley was great. First of all, my timeshare experience was great when I was single. I would say that the timeshare game, ironically, is best for single people who like to travel. But once a significant other and kids get involved, it's not as easy to make sure schedules align with school, work, sports and resort availability, etc. (As opposed to when I was single and able to take 3 or 4 short (3-5 days) vacays a year.) This company stayed right alongside me through the process and fought for nearly a year and a half to negotiate the closing of my timeshare, which was agreed to under predatory practice. Although I take accountability and paid them for services, they made it as minimally painful as possible.
