The Zodiac MX8 has been everything I thought it would be with a variable speed pump. Cleans the entire pool effortlessly.
Need a lot of suction and on a variable speed pump you have to put it all the way up to max flow rate Also plastic on connector on lid very easy to get damaged as I was pulling it out of the pool from hose it came off as it was full of water and fell about a foot to ground and got damaged
The MX8 Elite is several generations over the G3 it replaced. I expected improvement but so far, it has gone over and beyond my expectations. The brushing action with the improved climbing and suction makes it way more productive. This review is after two days of use. I hope this performance continues.
I've had the same pool vacuum for over 10 years. And it did a decent job of putting around the pool. For the cost, I didn't ever see the need to upgrade the vacuum however, i've since switched out my skimmer, filters, pump and lighting i figured what the hell. Well, from the first lap around the pool, the MX8 is what i've been waiting for. This beast aggressively and methodically trolls the bottom (and sides) of my pool sucking up the waste. Took out our zodiac creeper and installed the MX8 elite and immediately loved it. This bugger is fast and rotated all over the place. In one day my pool was clean and looking great again!!
