Works great a definite upgrade over my Hayward
My Hayward Navigator broke again so I decided to look for something different. My pool supply company recommended the Zodiac MX8 and even let me borrow his personal one and I was impressed. After using his for a few weeks, I purchased my own. Can't speak to reliability over the long term yet, but will keep you posted.
Besides doing an excellent job keeping the pool clean, it also entertains our cats.
Our mx8 elite replaced a Hayward suction cleaner. The Zodiac mx8 is much more effective than the Hayward, especially on the walls of the pool. We're very happy we switched.
Works great! Does have trouble climbing up the walls however.

Easy to set-up and use, cleans well, goes up the walls of the pool.
It does a great job on the pool overall but can't seem to do the steps very well.
